QQI Quality Indicators - Magnetic Lift Test Bars
QUANTITATIVE QUALITY INDICATORS (QQI)
Artificial flaw shim standards for MPI increase productivity by minimizing magnetizing "shots." Placed on part surface to verify field direction and relative strength. Particularly useful for balancing multi-directional fields. Approved by major specifications including ASTM E 1444 (replaced MIL-Std-1949A).
KSC 230 STANDARD QQI
Basic circular and crossed bar flaw configuration, suitable for longitudinal and circular fields. .0006" flaw depth amounts to 30% of shim thickness.

KSC 4-230 MINIATURE QQI
Similar to KSC 230, except miniature design for small areas on test part. Four circles per sheet may be cut apart for individual use.

Parker Research Magnetic Lift Test Bars
LIFT TEST BARS
The lifting power of AC and pulsed DC magnetic yokes have to be certified for calibration. A 10 lb. (4.5 kg) certified test bar used for lift test.
For test of DC yokes-4 bars are required.
