XR 150 X-Ray Source
The XR150 x-ray source is a complete, single package, pulsed device for use in exposing conventional or instant type x-ray film. Weighing under five pounds, the XR-150 makes an ideal x-ray source for various portable applications. The entire system fits into one carrying case and weighs just 30 pounds.
Easy to Operate
This compact x-ray unit is very simple to use. Operation requires attaching the battery, setting the desired number of pulses, and firing the x-ray using either the remote cable or the time delay button.
High Output
Despite its small size the XR-150 has 150 kVp output which will penetrate 1/2 inch steel. The only power supply is a custom battery pack that fully recharges in one hour.
Dependability
Golden Engineering has been manufacturing portable x-ray systems since 1973. Golden Engineering produces THE INSPECTOR® x-ray source Model 200 which is in use worldwide for security and industrial applications.

XRS-3 X-Ray Source
Penetrates up to one inch of steel. Weighs just 12 pounds with battery pack attached. Battery powered using commercially available DeWalt batteries.
The XRS-3 combines the penetrating power of a large industrial X-Ray machine with the lightweight and compact design typically associated with less powerful machines. The XRS-3 weighs less than 12 pounds, yet produces 250-300 kV maximum energy.
Maintenance
The XRS-3 is a light duty x-ray machine that requires little maintenance. The modular design makes component replacement easy and cost effective. The DeWalt® 14.4V battery and battery charger are commercially available in retail stores worldwide.
Safety
The XRS-3 contains no radioactive materials. The unit produces radiation only while it is pulsing. Internal shielding minimizes radiation leakage in areas outside of the 40-degree X-Ray beam. A 15/60 second time delay button and a 20 foot remote firing cable allow the user to retreat a safe distance from the unit while it is pulsing.
Function
the XRS3 is similar to the XR200 in form and function. To operate the XRS-3: follow your established safe operating procedure to determine the appropriate safety area, clear the safety area, attach a charged battery to the XRS 3, place the imager/cassette behind the object to be examined, set the number of pulses, and fire the unit using the time delay button or remote firing cable. The user can then view a high quality x-ray image immediately when using a digital imaging system or within two minutes when using an instant radiographic film system.
