Floor standing cabinet x-ray systems providing a maximum 52" film to source distance. the TRX5200 differs from the TRX2800 only in its larger beam coverage area and longer film to sample distance. The TRX5200 can be ordered with all listed options and retrofitted for use with the M110 microfocus x-ray source and/or real-time imaging components.
The Torrex models TRX2800 & TRX5200 represent the latest evolution of the highly successful Torrex product line. Over the last 20 years, the Torrex has been an extremely successful instrument used for nondestructive testing and inspection. The Torrex's small size, interlocked door and radiation-safe enclosure make it ideal for location almost anywhere. Its unique design provides for a long product lifetime with safe, reliable operation. Simple controls are utilized, allowing operation by persons with minimal radiography training. These factors combined with a low purchase price make the Torrex a great value, and have resulted in its overwhelming acceptance world-wide.
Torrex cabinet x-ray systems provide operators with maximum versatility in applications requiring energies below 150kVp. A variety of options are offered to assist the customer in meeting specific needs. For example, four different x-ray sources are available on the Torrex models TRX2800 & TRX5200, including a microfocus x-ray source for radiographic magnification. Imaging is possible with x-ray film, radiographic paper, Polaroid® film, fluoroscopic viewing screen or with real-time x-ray imaging options which provide a video image as well as image processing and storage capability. An optional motorized manipulator is offered for use in sample positioning. Both the TRX2800 & TRX5200 cabinet x-ray models offer a cable access port as a standard feature. This shielded access to the radiation enclosure can be used for the insertion of instrument leads or future real-time upgrade.
